AZIZIYAH APARTMENT
Located just a short walk from Jamarat (Behind Al Baik Chicken Outlet). The Apartments building consist of 4 storeys with lift. There are 15 rooms with 8 bathrooms sharing between them in each floor. Seperate floors will be assigned for men & women in the Group and families with minimum 4 people can request for a private room. The Apartment is not a Hotel therefore it does not come with room service however cleaning & maintaining the building is done everyday by professional cleaners. Because of the proximity of its location to Jamarat, it serves as a very good alternate accommodation during the Mina stay as you can use this Apartment as your second home. Since you will be coming to Jamarat everyday for Rami, you can drop into the accommodation for a shower, rest & relaxation before you return back to Mina for overnight stay. Passport Valid for at least 6 months from the date of return to Australia with atleast 4 empty pages. 2. Visa application with four [4] photographs (on a White Back ground with applicant’s name on back of each photo). 3. Vaccinations Certificate from GP stapled / inserted in the passport 4. Copy of Marriage Certificate for Couples 5. Copy of Birth Certificate for the children 6. A letter from your local Islamic Centre/Mosque confirming that you are a Muslim HAJJ INFORMATION
1. BEFORE HAJJ: Make sure that issues like paying debts, writing will, redressing all wrongs, arranging adequate funds, getting information about Hajj and Saudi Arabia , obtaining a passport and visa is done before hand. 2. TYPES OF HAJJ: Collect information about Tamattu, Qiran, and Ifrad Hajj. Chose whatever suits you best. 3. BEFORE TRAVELING: Have your Ihram clothes ready in your flight, ship, or vehicle. Also memorize the Talbiyah before departing as you will need it later. 4. REACHING MIQAT: Wear Ihram clothes (before/in the flight) before reaching the exact location. 5. STARTING IHRAM: Say the intention of Ihram of Hajj. Start observing Ihram obligations: No haircut, no nail clipping, no perfumes, no animal killing or hunting, no sexual intercourse, no marriage proposals or contracts. 6. REACHING MAKKAH: Enter Makkah. Make an ablution or take a shower then enter Al-Masjid Al-Haram from Assalam gate saying ” Oh My Lord, open to me the doors of Your mercy”. 7. PERFORMING TAWAF: Move 7 times round the Ka`bah(tawaf) starting from the black stone (Hijr-e-Aswad). Recite du’a while making Tawaf. After finishing the Tawaf, pray two rak’ats anywhere in the masjid then drink Zamzam water. 8. MAKING SA’II: Start from Safa. Praise Allah and make takbeer 3 times, Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik. Labbaik Laa Shareeka Laka Labbaik Innal Hamda Wannimata laka walmulk Laa Shareeka Lak each time you walk from Safa to Marwah and vice versa. Speed your walk between the two green signs. Make du’a during Sa’ii. The 7th round ends at Marwah. 9.FINISHING IHRAM: After the 7th round, shave or trim your hair. Then take off your Ihram clothes. 10 . IHRAM OF HAJJ: On the 8th of Zul-Hijjah, take a shower or make Wudu and then wear the Ihram clothes again and say the intention of Hajj. Go to Mina before noon. Keep receiting the takbeer. Observe the Ihram obligations. 11. STAYING IN MINA: At Mina, pray 5 daily prayers starting with Zuhr and ending with Fajr. Shorten the 4 rak’at-prayer but do not combine them. Stay in Mina until the sunrise of the 9th of Zul-Hijjah. 12. ATTENDING ARAFAT: Leave for Arafat after the sunrise while repeating the Takbeer. Pray Zuhr and Asr there and stay the whole day until sunset. Make du’a for your self and other Muslims. After sunset, leave for Muzdalifah. 13. STAYING IN MUZDALIFAH: Leave for Muzdalifah quietly. Stay the night in Muzdalifah. Pray Maghrib and Isha, combine them and shorten Isha. You can sleep immediately after Isha. Leave Muzdalifah for Mina after sunrise. Pass by AL-Mashar AL-Haram and make du’a. 14. THROWING PEBBLES AT JAMRAT AL-AQABAH: On the 10th, when you reach Mina, go to Jamrat Al-Aqabah ( Al-kubra). Throw 7 pebbles successively. Throw each one while making takbeer. Be sure that each pebble falls inside the fence. 15. SACRIFICE OF AN ANIMAL: After finishing the throwing of pebbles, check which the Authorities if your sacrificial animal is sacrificed. 16. CUTTING YOUR HAIR: Get your hair shaved or trimmed starting with the right side. By then you have reached the stage of Al-Tahlul AL-Asghar (partial ending of Ihram). i.e. you are allowed to practice your normal life except sexual intercourse. 17. MAKING TAWAF IFADAH: Go to Makkah. Circle the Ka’bah 7 times starting from the black stone making Takbeer each time you come to it. Make du’a during Tawaf. After Tawaf pray 2 rak’ats anywhere then drink Zamzam water. 18. MAKING SA’II (IF SELECTED TAMATTU, IF NOT THEN SKIP IT): Start from Safa. Praise Allah and make takbeer 3 times each time. Walk from Safa to Marwah and vice versa. Speed your walk between the 2 green signs. Make du’a during Sa’ii. The 7th round end at Marwah 19. STAYING IN MINA: Leave Makkah for Mina. Spend the night there, at least from midnight until sunrise. Pray the daily and night prayers at Mina. Shorten the 4 rakat prayer but do not combine. 20. THROWING PEBBLES AT 3 JAMRAT: On the 11th of Zul-Hijjah, go to Jamrat site after noon time. Start with the 1st Jamrah. Throw the 7 pebbles successively while making Takbeer with each pebble. Then go to the 2nd and do the same. Then go to the 3rd and do the same. 22.THROWING PEBBLES AT 3 JAMRAT: On the 12th of Zul-Hijjah, go to Jamrat site after noon time. Start with the 1st Jamrah. Throw the 7 pebbles successively while making Takbeer with each pebble. Then go to the 2nd and do the same. Then go to the 3rd and do the same. 23. STAYING IN MINA: Go to Mina. Spend the night there, at least from midnight until sunrise. Pray the daily and night prayers at Mina. Shorten the 4 rakat prayer but do not combine. 24. THROWING PEBBLES AT 3 JAMRAT: On the 13th of Zul-Hijjah, go to Jamrat site after noon time. Start with the 1st Jamrah. Throw the 7 pebbles successively while making takbeer with each pebble. Then go to the 2nd and do the same. Then go to the 3rd and do the same. 25. MAKING FAREWELL TAWAF: Go to Makkah. Circle the Ka’bah 7 times starting with the black stone making takbeer each time you come to it. Make du’a during Tawaf. After finishing the Tawaf, pray 2 rak’ats anywhere, the drink Zamzam water. 26. BACK HOME: You can go to visit the Mosque of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) at Madinah (If you have not been there already before the start of Hajj) or pack your bags and leave Makkah. Do not spend the night at Mina. Visiting Madinah, though it is highly recommended, is not part of the Hajj rituals. |
